The Interview

Spencer: Hello Sergio, thank you for reaching out to Noisevore about you and your music. It’s been a long time since we’ve really been in contact. It’s crazy to think that you were my underclassman in high school.

Sergio: Hey man! It’s really no problem… this is a way for my music to get more exposure after all, and I appreciate you interviewing me! And I guess it is. What’s really crazy to me is how long ago that was!

Spencer: Starting off, I want to know why you create music? Why is music a creative outlet for you?

Sergio: Oh man… that’s a big question, honestly, I would say that I’m compelled to create music for the sake of my own mental health, music is most definitely a healing modality, and I do it for the love of doing it. I’ve got a lot within to express… just look at how much stuff I’ve put out!

Spencer: What events and people sparked your music journey? Elementary school and church played key roles in my music journey, so I’m curious about you.

Sergio: I would have to say just being exposed to music and loving it from an early age as well as getting my first guitar… so some of the people are definitely older artists and musicians that I admire.

Spencer: I know you’re a guitarist, but what instruments do you play? Do you only play the electric guitar?

Sergio: So other than guitar, I can play bass, drums, and keys/synths… I haven’t had extensive experience playing other instruments. And no, I love playing acoustic guitar as well, especially nylon-stringed acoustics!

Spencer: So you’ve faced hard times and have been homeless. How was creating music during this time?

Sergio: Again man, creating music is and was an outlet for me and helped me get through those truly shitty times… people shouldn’t underestimate the value of both music as a whole and my music specifically!

Spencer: It’s actually incredible that you put out music while being homeless. You have put out a total of nine projects so far in 2025. How many of those projects were created while you were homeless?

Sergio: Thank you! That means a lot… so that would be everything I released before August

Spencer: What is your favorite song or project that you created, and why?!

Sergio: This is a very tough one, but I want to say my EP “I Watched The Film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind” on the strength of the title track alone… I feel as though it’s maybe the most complex and beautiful song I can claim to have written. Don’t sleep on it and my music in general, folks! Also, my album “Reversal” is pretty tight if I do say so myself!

Spencer: Okay, how do you go about making music now? What is your music creation process?

Sergio: For the most part, I’ve been recording my music using BandLab whenever the inspiration and desire to do so strikes me, and I am able! The DAW doesn’t matter so much as how you use it.

Spencer: How do you describe your sound and the tone of your music?

Sergio: I feel like my music is so varied that this question is impossible for me to answer.

Spencer: What kinds of thoughts and emotions do you want people to have when listening to your music?

Sergio: To think that it’s cool and good and be touched in a deep and real way, and perhaps experience the same emotions that I expressed via the music!

Spencer: What do you hope to accomplish with your music?

Sergio: A lot, man… self-realization, self-discovery, stirring people’s hearts, making money, making a name for myself… the list goes on.

Spencer: Awesome, thanks Sergio for taking the time to do this interview. I really appreciate it. Do you have anything you want to add? Where can people find your music?

Sergio: Again, no problem! I’d like to add that I appreciate you giving me this opportunity and that my Instagram handle is @sergiodechiaramusic, and you should follow me on it and listen to my music. I really do appreciate it! You can find my music on YouTube, Spotify, and basically every other streaming service. I encourage you, the reader, to subscribe, follow me, and share my music with people and talk about it! It means a lot, and I do work hard!
